Welcome

Welcome to Kaisho Martial Arts

Firstly, I would like to welcome you to the Kaisho Martial Arts website, and we hope you enjoy looking at our site, and book a free lesson.

Kaisho Martial Arts was founded in November 2007 with the aim of providing a realistic and street smart way for all ages to defend themselves in today’s world. The techniques that we teach are a combination of Ju-Jitsu, Karate and Kickboxing. This combination provides an all-round self defence ability that can be used in many situations. The martial arts that we teach are not sports, because in a real world scenario there are no rules, and people do not fight fairly.

Kaisho Martial Arts focuses on teaching and encouraging within a friendly atmosphere. Our training is very effective and conducted to the highest standard: from infant classes to the junior and adult classes. We keep our class size small so that you will have more time with an instructor to develop your skills. To ensure this we have introduced a personal development plan for every student. The great thing about this is that an individual can learn at their own pace to reach their own goals!

All our classes are based in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, and as a martial arts company we are registered with a number of UK and worldwide bodies. We also work with a number of county sports partnerships, and our instructors are members of the following groups:

Sports Partnership Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Pro – Action Herts, Martial Arts and Fitness Coach UK, Clubs for Young People, Cobra Martial Arts and the All Japan Ju-Jitsu International Federation

All of our instructors have many years of experience in running and teaching their owns clubs; put this together you have a combination of over 155 years experience within the martial arts, and dealing with real life situations.

Each instructor and assistant instructors are fully CRB checked (every 12 months) first aid trained, have completed child protection courses, and have completed number of teaching programmes. Kaisho Martial Arts has a child protection policy in place.

So why not book a free lesson?
When you join we will give you a free suit worth £35.00!

Our Training Philosophy

Martial Arts for health/fitness – any physical sport or general exercise programme contributes to health and well being. Add to this the discipline and focus inherent in many martial arts and it is little wonder that people are attracted to the arts as a remedy for the stresses and tensions of modern living. Through these disciplines, many millions of practicing martial artists all over the world are actively improving their health, abilities, confidence and awareness.

Martial Arts for self discipline – Martial artists are among the least aggressive and brutish people in society. Martial artists are unlikely to initiate a violent or aggressive exchange preferring instead to, ‘walk away.’ With a physical confrontation often being viewed as the last resort by most and a failure by others!

Martial Arts for self-defence – The best way to look at self defence is a way in which you are able to defend yourself if need be, rather than an offensive movement. It is more of a way of defending yourself in any situation.

Martial Arts for self-control and respect – You learn self-control in the martial arts by learning how important it is to have respect, both for yourself and for others. Martial arts training teaches that in order to get respect, you first have to give it. Once you learn this important lesson, self-control will naturally increase.

Martial Arts for confidence – By getting stronger and more flexible (and by learning how to protect yourselves), you will develop confidence in your ability to handle life’s challenges. In turn, your improved confidence will give you the courage to say NO to negative influences.
